On 30 January 2027 I headline Our City Our Sound at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Behind me on the screens: one continuous film — twenty-five years of this city's sound.
I only lived my corner of it. You lived the rest. Old photos, phone footage, camcorder tapes — Wah Wah Saturdays, Noizy Neighbours Thursdays, Lab 22, the festivals, the recoveries. If it's real, I want it.
And not just the good nights. The moments that hit the whole city — Black Saturday, the lockdowns, the headlines — and how the scene got through them. Documentary excerpts, short films, iPhone clips, old Instagram and Facebook posts: anything that captures how we navigated the hard parts of this city's history, together.
The best of it goes in the film — on the Bowl screens, in front of 13,000 people, with your name in the credits.
